Qualifiying Events for 401k Rollover to IRA

Question:

Once a participant reaches age 59.5 and is still working can they do a rollover or In Service Distribution to an IRA? Or, is it based on the plans normal retirement age (usually 65 ) and are still working when they can do a Rollover or In Service Distribution to an IRA?

This is based on the plan provisions. Those that do offer in service distributions (other than hardship or loans) typically use 59.5 as the qualifying age.
