sep ira
can i keep my roth ira that i have maxed at 5000 when my employer has given me 3800 toward a sep-ira. The roth was opened novenber 2007 for 2007 and now my employer gives me 3800 toward a sep. do i put the sep money in a tira and decrease the amount of my rira by the 3800.

You can do both and do not have to reduce your Roth contribution. The reason for this is that SEP contributions are considered to be made to an employer plan.
