IRA per stirpes question
ira beneficiary is daughter who is wealthy, has 2 kids (19 and 20). The IRA beneficiary is set up as daughter per stirpes. Is this sufficient for the daughter to disclaim, or do the kids need to be named as successor beneficiaries?

The problem with naming them is that the daughter might have or adopt another child, or one of the daughter’s children might have a child of his/her own.

The daughter can disclaim and the children will be considered as designated beneficiaries able to take RMDs over their life expectancies.
