Staying Logged In
I have been a long-time registered user of this forum. However, whenever I run a certain program which deletes my remembered passwords I have to log back in. Once I log back in it does not remember me (even though I check the block to remember me) and I therefore have to log back in each time.
There are two places to log in; one at the bottom of the page and one on the left side. Neither place seems to remember my password. Can anyone guide me correctly on this issue?

Somehow I knew it was you, Tom. Can’t help. I had same problem myself last time you did, then it corrected itself, somehow.

Tom, since the site is being upgraded tomorrow, it might “forget you” again within 24 hours……….. 🙂

We are doing away with the log in feature of the website. We are working on enhancing our site (drastically) to make it more user-friendly. Some constant complaints that we receive from users of the Discussion Forum are:
1. That of which you mentioned — log-in issues
2. Using their own name or having to register — people prefer to post anonymously or not register to use the site
3. Spam on the Forum (which we try to remove throughout the day as fast as we can by continually monitoring the forum, but it seems to appear faster than we can remove it)
Please continue to give us feedback on the forum and anywhere else on the site, so that we may continue to provide quality resources to both financial advisors and consumers.
My email address is [email protected]. I would very much like to hear your feedback on our improvements during the next few days.

With the new forum setup, is there a way to see which posts have been made since I logged in last?

Yes, the new ones have a red flag on left. And the ball is red.

I don’t see a red flag on left or a red ball on my screen. Maybe there is some option that I need to set because my screen just shows what looks like a tablet sheet, but nothing indicating whether post has been read or now. Possibly someone from tech support can post to let us know.

I also do not get a red flag on the left or a red ball on my screen and my screen also shows what looks like a tablet. Further the legend “No new posts” appears if I place my cursor at the bottom of this tablet (?) or at the bottom of the “light bulb” that’s at the left of Forum Support with a date of yesterday though it appears at the top above a number of today’s posts. For all the posts on the new Forum, the legend “View the latest post” appears if the cursor is put on the icon of a page or box at the right of the poster’s name.
I use an e-Mac is that has anything to do with this.

I am NOT getting a red flag or red ball to indicate new posts. I am surfing using Mozilla Firefox. Does notification of new posts only work with Internet Explorer?
