RMD Required from Transferred 403b
If an individual transfers a portion of his 403b into a new account not held by the employer but still titled as a 403b and he is still actively employed by the same company. Is that person required to take an RMD from the 403b account that is not held with the employer. Clearly he is not required to take a distribution from the 403b plan where he is still actively employed.

Yes, an RMD would be required from a 403b not sponsored by the current employer.
