1099-int for a tax-exempt bond mutual fund
I live in n.h. and received a 1099-int form from vanguard for the vanguard short term tax-exempt fund. I am doing my taxes but am not sure if the interest counts toward taxable income or not. Can someone clarify this? 1040 line 8b?

8b on Form 1040 IF the 1099 interest shows in Box 8. Not taxable directly, but could make your SS taxable if 85% of your SS is not already included in your AGI.
