RMDs on IRA for non spouse beneficiary where RMDs already
I am seeking clarity: Q. when a RMD for a non-spousal beneficiary of an IRA is taken, and the deceased is over age 70.5 and already was taking RMDs, does the beneficiary calculate payment using the life expectancy of the deceased owner or the beneficiary? Or whichever is longer?

Whichever is longer. The life expectancy of the deceased would be longer when the beneficiary is older. It could also be longer if a younger beneficiary failed to create a separate account from other beneficiaries and just one of the others was older.
