Inherited IRA and the 60 day rule
If a person mistakenly takes more than the required RMD from an inherited IRA and realizes it before the 60 day is over can they redeposit it back into the account?
The decedent was over the age of 701/2 when they died.
Thanks
Mark

There is no 60 day rule for an inherited IRA. Returning a distribution would be an illegal contribution.
