MRD made in kind instead of in cash
Can an individual with an MRD make that distribution in kind rather than in cash?
Their IRA owns a note receivable and I wondered if that could be distributed to satisfy his MRD?

Yes, in kind or in cash satisfies the RMD as long as the market value of the distribution shows on the 1099R.
The cost basis of an in kind distribution is the value on the date distributed. This will be needed to report later sales of the assets.
