403b rollover to an IRA
A client who turned age 59 in July of this year has a pre-2009 403b account held directly with a mutual fund company. The client is still employed with the employer that sponsored that 403b plan. Is attaining age 55 a qualifying event that would allow a rollover to an IRA?

No, age 59.5 (coming January) client should be able to do the rollover.
