subjcet to 401(k) RMD?

client is 73 and still employed. not a stockholder. not contributing but participating in 401(k).
Is a RMD required?

Thanks

Not unless the plan is one of the few that requires RMDs to start at 70.5 for everyone. There are not very many of those, but it is possible. Otherwise RMDs do not begin for client until retirement.
