Roth IRA contribution non US income
I have a client that is a US citizen that lives and works in Canada. That is the only source of earned income. Does this client qualify (assuming her income is below the limits) to make a ROTH IRA contribution, or does the earned income have to be earned in the US?

She must file a US tax return to report the income. If the income is of the type (taxable compensation) eligible for a Roth contribution if earned here, it has the same affect as if earned here and a contribution can be made.
