Calc of RMD for multiple bene when IRA split year following DOD

Taxpayer age 73, died in 2013 after satisfying their 2013 RMD. Left assets to two children equally. IRA was split into separate accounts in early 2014.

For the calculation of the 2014 RMD for each beneficiary do they take the entire account value at 12/31/13 (which would have been undivided at 12/31/13) multiplied by their share (50% in this case) and then divide by factor from Beneficiary table based on their age to calculate their RMD?

This seems like the logical answer but would like to be sure.

Thanks as always

Howard
