IRA Charity Rollover
Can you donate to several charities during the year and still meet the RMD charity rollover rules? Does it have to be only one and can it be sporadic during the year? Say you want to donate to the church and then a foundation at different times of the year?

You are referring to a QCD. Yes, there can be as many QCDs as desired and they can be made anytime during the year now that the QCD has been made permanent. The total of all of them cannot exceed 100k. Be careful with foundations because private foundations and donor advised funds are not eligible charities with respect to QCDs. Generally, the QCDs should be done first until the RMD is fully completed. The QCDs can total to less than the RMD, equal to the RMD or more than the RMD, but the timing is important if any IRA Distributions will be made in addition to the QCDs.
