IRA Beneficiary
If I have a client who holds an IRA and then dies with a named non-spouse beneficiary, if the beneficiary of the IRA never receives the funds and then passes away, does the account belong to the estate of the original IRA holder or the beneficiary of the IRA?

Under most IRA contracts, the account would go to the estate of the non spouse beneficiary assuming that this beneficiary did not name a successor beneficiary.
