403b and IRA w/d and rmds

I thought I remembered not being able to aggregate the 2. Can you take money from a 403b to help satisfy rmds?
If someone has an rmd of 8,000, Can they take 5,000 from 403b and 3,000 from IRA?

No, they cannot.  403b plan RMDs can be aggregated with other 403b plans, and IRA RMDs can be aggregated with other IRA account RMDs, but 403b plans and IRAs cannot be aggregated with each other. Therefore, some combination of 403b plans must satisfy 403b RMDs and some combination of IRAs can satisfy IRA RMDs, but a 403b cannot satisfy an IRA RMD or an IRA satisfy a 403b RMD.
