NJ Creditor Protection for IRAs
Hello,
I was wondering if you knew whether or not NJ provides general creditor protection for IRA holders (not an Inherited IRA – assume it’s the original IRA owner or spouse as the IRA owner).
Thank you.

At least one asset protection firm (Adkisson) shows NJ as protecting IRAs and Roth IRAs 100% from creditors. As always, the IRA would still be subject to IRS liens or marital settlements.
