Beneficiary IRA RMD
Which table is used for a beneficiary IRA RMD calculation? I was given the Single Life Expectancy Table for Inherited IRAs but my calculation using that table is a lot different than what I get when I use a beneficiary RMD calculator online. Which calculation should I use?

They should be the same, but for a non spouse beneficiary the initial divisor for the first beneficiary RMD is reduced by 1.0 each year thereafter. Therefore, the table would only be consulted for the initial beneficiary RMD year (year after IRA owner’s death). Are you trying to determine the divisor for a year after that initial year? If so, you would not use the Table itself for any subsequent years. If this does not explain the difference please advise more details. Rules for sole spousal beneficiaries differ, as well as successor beneficiaries, or in certain cases where the beneficiary is OLDER than the decedent.
