How many RMDs are required
My client has retirement accounts spread all over. This is the first year he will take a RMD.
I know that for IRAs he can come up with a total and take the RMD from one IRA but we haven’t rolled over his retirement accounts yet.
He has 4 TSA fixed annuity accounts
+ 1 QDRO 401k
+ 1 Keogh IRA
Will he have to take RMDs from 6 accounts or 1 from the Keogh, 1 from the QDRO 401k and 1 from the combined total of the TSA fixed annuity accounts for a total of 3 distributions?
Thank you

3 different RMDs is the minimum number. The TSAs can be aggregated. Also, a Keogh is not an IRA, it’s usually a DC plan or DB plan.
