Elderly Client Inadvertently Withdrew RMD Twice

I have an elderly client who has memory problems. He inadvertently withdrew his RMD twice last year. Is there any way that one of these can be undone?

  • The self certification procedure might be investigated, but it sounds that he falls short of the “seriously ill” reason for doing such a rollover. You might look this over and see if any of these reasons could be justified.
