Hi there Japh and Alan!
We appreciate the feedback and concern around the spam on the forum (which we share in your frustrations). Unfortunately, it’s not something easily fixed by just our addition of Cloudflare’s Turnstile to all logins and forms, (which is meant to protect the forum from bots). Instead, we had switched from Google’s Recaptcha to see if that solution was letting the spam through, which we determined made no difference as there were already too many spam accounts created and being used to create the spam posts. We’ve been continuously monitoring the forum and deleting spam users as we find them, but unless we were to take drastic measures, there isn’t an easier way to scan the 26k users for fakes that wouldn’t hurt the forum in the long run.
We have deployed a new method as of yesterday meant to use a combination of AI and a very large database of commonly used spam to check all new forum posts moving forward, and we hope that will at least stop the flood of spam while we determine the best route to mitigate the spam users.
Thanks for your patience while we assist the Slott team in cleaning out the users and posts to make this forum a much more reliable source of knowledge.

I contacted the Slott team about a month ago complaining about the spam, after which they made some changes to the site (note “Cloudflare” below), which is a security provider.
There were a couple Mondays where the prior week’s spam posts were removed, but obviously not today, as there are over 200 spam posts. Therefore, Cloudflare has not solved the problem. Very frustrating.
