Is an Inherited IRA protected from bankruptcy proceedings in Kansas?

Client has 2 inherited IRAs, one from mother, one from uncle.

Client’s business is failing, and she is going to file bankruptcy.

Are the inherited IRAs protected assets in a bankruptcy filing?

No. Kansas is not a state that has extended IRA creditor protection to inherited IRAs.
