RMDs from IRAs at Separate Custodians

I have a client with IRAs at two different custodians. For simplicity, we’d like to take the 2025 RMD from just one of the accounts at one of the custodians. Is it permissible to take the reported RMD from one custodian rather than from both so long as the full RMD amount is satisfied?

Yes, that is allowed because IRA RMDs can be aggregated. The total RMD can be taken in any combination between the two accounts.
