IRA and Qtip. Surviving Spouse as Trustee and beneficiary, Children contingent beneficiary

Husband and wife both taking RMD’s . Children in their 30’s. Husband and wife have a living trust which creates a QTIP at first to die funded with trust assets (as mentioned in earlier post)

Survivor will be trustee of the QTIP and primary beneficiary. Disabled children (or their trusts) will be contingent beneficiaries.

1) With approval from the other spouse can both spouses name the Qtip (which is established on first death) as the prime beneficiary of their respective IRA’s .
2) Can the surviving spouse while serving as trustee take RMD’s from said Qtip trust based on his/her lifetime schedule.
3) When survivor dies Can the children or their trusts continue to stretch the remaining IRA over their respective lifetimes.

Thanks
