inherited an inherited IRA
Client inherits an IRA, non spousal, prior to 2020 and is stretched over his life expectancy. What happens when this client passes:
a – if he names his wife of clients bene IRA?
b – if he names his grown children as beneficiaries?

There is no difference between a and b, each of those have an additional 10 years to drain the inherited IRA. The spouse cannot do a spousal rollover when the original IRA was inherited by a non spouse.
