Multiple Plans contribution limit
Have a client that worked for one company and contributed 19,500 to that 401k. Left that company and new company offers 457 plan. Can he contribute 19,500 to that plan as well? The 457 plan is sponsored by a non governmental company.

457 plan contribution limits are the same as qualified plans like a 401k, and the limits are separate because 457 plans are not qualified plans. 19,500 can be contributed to each plan.
