Sep contribution

Thanks in advance for the great advice. i own my own c corp. I have a SEP for many years and i always thought that i had to get my SEP contribution in by April 15 unless i go on extension. My CPA is telling me that i have to make the SEP contribution by March 15. Is that right?

3/15 with no extension filed, 9/15 with filed extension. Maybe CPA does not want to file the extension.

i always thought 4/15 was the deadline. It is 3/15 specifically because i run a c corp?

I think it’s 3/15 for an S-corp but 4/15 for a C-corp, the due date for the corporation’s tax return in either case.
