IRA contribution deductibility
Are there any exceptions to the conditional phrase “covered by a plan at work” when determining whether an IRA contribution is deductible? For example, is a 403b treated any differently since technically it is not considered a qualified plan?

A 403b is treated the same as a 401k for active participant status. However, a 457b plan is not and is not treated as a qualified plan for this purpose.
