Allianz Master Dex 10 annuity
Can annual annuity payments from subject annuity taken over 10 years be used to satisfy the RMD for both the annuity itself and other IRA if such payments are large enough to do so.

Starting with the year after an IRA has been annuitized, distributions only satisfy the annuity RMD, and not the RMD for other IRA accounts. There is no longer a year end balance from which to calculate an RMD. For the year the annuity is annuitized there is a prior year end balance and RMDs for that year can be aggregated.
