How can I buy a non public stock in my Roth IRAM

I have a Roth IRA which is currently at Schwab.

How do I buy a non public stock and hold it in my Roth IRA?

A different custodian?

Is this possible at all?

Yes, but it requires a self directed IRA custodian that will hold these shares. Mainstream large custodians may not.
