Options for IRA distribution? Specific bequests in will, remainder to charity. If IRA goes to Estate, then what happens to it?

The executor will take charge of the inherited IRA as part of the probate estate. If the will provisions result in the IRA going to the charity, the executor can assign the inherited IRA out of the estate to the charity, who can then take a tax free distribution that will also complete the year of death RMD if the owner did not complete it.
