RMDs from an inherited IRA
Father died in 2019 and was taking RMDs.
Daughter inherited his IRA in 2019 and and was taking RMDs until she died this year (2023).
Nonspouse (the granddaughter in her 30s) has now inherited the beneficiary IRA. Is it correct she will need to start taking RMDs in 2024 based on her life expectancy in years one through nine and then deplete the balance in year 10?

No. As a successor beneficiary she must complete the RMD schedule of the daughter in years 1-9 and deplete in year 10. Granddaughters age is irrelevant. She must also complete the 2023 RMD of daughter if daughter did not do so.
