I have placed these in several ROTHs. The issue is liquidity. Most of these have some sort of “Death Put” to get out (maybe at a discount) if the owner dies. So there shouldn’t be great risk if you have done your due diligence on the REIT in the first place. But, make sure there is no problem from the custodian in holding these assets. Sometimes they cahrge extra fees to hold them — Pershing does.
