Foreign currencies in IRAs and foreign tax credit.
Hello,
Due to the current trashing of the US$ by the Federal Reserve, I am looking to invest some IRA money in foreign currency CDs. However, I’ve been informed the IRS does not allow foreign currencies in an IRA (although apparently foreign STOCKS are OK). Weird if true…!
Is this the case…? If so, is there any way to get IRA money into CASH like Euros, Canadian $$, Australian $$, etc…
Thanks…!
