An inherited IRA annuity should be able to be directly transferred, but a NQ annuity cannot be transferred to an IRA. If the beneficiary is the surviving spouse, they can do a rollover and are not limited to a direct transfer.

Thanks for the reply.
It is a fixed annuity with all pre-tax money. The beneficiary is the son.
I can’t seem to find any institutions that offer CDs under a beneficiary ira.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Any quality bank should offer them. They may refer to them as “Deceased IRAs”.
