Pre 1987 accum in 403b
When you do a direct partial transfer of 403b assets that have some pre 1987 accumulation into an IRA, what happens to that pre 87 accum amount?

It stays in the 403b and RMDs do not need to begin until age 75. If the pre 1987 accruals are transferred to an IRA, they lose their identity and IRA RMD rules apply.
