required distributions on IRA BDA accounts
Is there any chance that Congress will pass legislation that will not require minimum distributions on beneficiary IRA’s this year due to the market downturn? I thought there was some talk about not requiring minimum distributions for those over 701/2.

At this point, it is still just talk, and I am not sure inherited IRAs are even in the mix. Congress SOMETIMES asks in haste without taking into account all the affected parties. E.G. PPA 2006 allowing Direct Transfer to inherited IRAs for NON-spouses, completely ignoring spouses under age 59 1/2.
