403b to a Roth 403b conversion

Can one do a conversion from a 403b(7) to a Roth 403b.

No. In addition, regular contributions to a 403b cannot be recharacterized as Roth 403b contributions.

When an employee qualifies for distributions from a 403b plan, both the regular account and the designated Roth account can be converted to a Roth IRA, with the income limits for conversion applying until 2010.

An employee generally is allowed to periodically re direct future regular contributions between the pre tax and Roth options in a 403b plan, therefore the opportunity should exist to increase the allocation to the Roth portion.
