Can special needs trust be the beneficiary of a Roth

I have a client that wants to put the beneficiary of their roth as the Special needs trust for their kids. Can you put a special needs trust as a beneficiary on a roth IRA/IRA? Any laws saying you cant?

There is no difference between the IRA types with respect to beneficiaries. An SNT may be an IRA beneficiary and if the trust is qualified, the RMDs can reflect the life expectancy of the trust beneficiary. You should review PLR 2006 20025 that addresses some of the issues.
