Beneficiary and community property states?
A client doesn’t want to name her husband on her 403b as beneficiary. The form asks for his signature if he’s not named as beneficiary.
We’re in Alabama. Does the spouse have to sign and is AL a community property state? The form came from
a 3rd party adm. & they haven’t responded yet.

Alabama is not a community property state. Most WRPs require the spouse to sign if they will not be named beneficiary
