RMD’s for 2010…
An estate planning atty in AZ said in a newsletter that RMD’s at 70 1/2 have been extended thru 2010…I haven’t heard this. Has the gov’t made any formal announcement on this?

No. Last I heard a proposal to eliminate the requirement for a 2010 RMD had gone through the House, but no action in the Senate. I rather doubt it will happen based on the uptick in the economy and the fact the gov’t wants and needs taxes on the RMDs. You might seek out the actual wording in the newsletter.
