I have the same question as this with the added twist of a person who turns 70 1/2 during 2010 and normally has until April 1, 2011 to make the 2010 RMD, does this excelerate the 2010 RMD to prior than the trustee to trustee transfer during 2010?

You no longer have to fulfill your RMD requirement before an IRA to IRA Transfer. You do have to complete the RMD before completing a rollover. It is important to know the difference between the two.

Not to my knowledge. As a side, the RMD would first have to be taken in full if a conversion was being done.
