Does anyone know the status of a possible waiver for 2010? Also, when the 2009 RMD was suspended, didn’t they allow the participant to reinstate the distribution if it had already been made?

There has been no waiver for 2010, and the chances for one now are pretty much limited to a full blown market crash, ie Dow around 5,000 in November. There are presently no bills pending that include another waiver.
Yes, in 2009, they did allow a rollback within 60 days or 11/30/2009, whichever came later, but the taxpayer had to be eligible for a rollover, ie they could not have already used up their one rollover per 12 month period.
