IRA Pre-591/2 Penalty Exception
Hello,
I have heard that there has been new legislation to take early distributions from a traditional exempt from penalty for a person who has lost their job. I know the medical insurance/unemployment benefit and the med expenses over 7.5% exceptions, but has there been something new recently that I have missed?

It may be a proposal since there are always large amounts of proposals that never get passed. There is nothing new in the last couple of years with respect to penalty waivers, and you are aware of the medical insurance exception that is tied to collection of UC benefits.
