Soldier liquidated IRA in january to stop father from taking

hello,

I was notified that we have a client that wants to do a 60 day rollover with an IRA account that was liquidated in January 2011. the reason she liquidated was because her father was taking money out of her IRA. IRA acct was set up when soldier was a minor and father was on the account as well. she was away at war when she came back in January she found out that father was taking money out of her IRA so she liquidated her IRA and wanted to do a 60 rollover.

I know it has been over 60 days but does she have a case ?

She might if there is a good reason that she could not complete the rollover after taking the distribution in January. What did she do with the money in the meantime?

she put it into her checking account and now she comes forward and wants to do a rollover into an IRA.
