Inherited IRA/Roth conversion
Does an inherited IRA from a non-spouse need to be considered in determining basis/non-deductible basis for a Roth conversion. In this case the inheited IRA would not be eligibile for a Roth conversion.
Thoughts?
Thanks

No. Inherited IRAs are never combined with owned IRAs for basis calculations. Each would have it’s own basis apply to distributions or conversions.
Even if inherited TIRA accounts are at some point allowed to be converted into inherited Roth accounts, the basis would remain separate.
