Solo 401k and tax reporting

Hello,
I have another Solo 401K question.

I own a single member LLC that I started in May 2012. I set up a Solo 401K with Fidelity and contributed my EMPLOYEE share before Dec 2012. Now, I finalized my taxes over the weekend and in my form 1040, I said I would maximize my Solo401K contribution for 2012 (full 20% of income minus employer’s SE tax).

Now, i need to remit the money to Fidelity (before April 15th).In the Fidelity Solo 401K remittance form, there is no column to say that the money (EMPLOYER share) being funded is for previous year (2012) and not for current year. There is a column like that for EMPLOYEE contribution though. Then, how would IRS know that the money being under is for 2012 that I am already claiming the deduction on 1040?

I called Fidelity and I couldn’t get a clear answer.

Thanks for your thoughts.
Raghu
