Spouse Bene 401k to Own IRA after RMD started

Husband died 12 yrs ago. Spouse has been taking RMD for years using single life tables as a bene. Can she now rollover the 401k into her own IRA and use uniform tables?
Thanks!

Yes, the rollover can be done anytime. However, the current year RMD will be distributed to the surviving spouse and only the rest of the account rolled over to her own IRA account. Usually, a surviving spouse will only maintain an inherited plan as a beneficiary if she is under 59.5 and needs to take penalty free distributions. Otherwise the RMDs will be larger than they would be using the Uniform Table.

Thanks! What I thought, just looking for confirmation. Thanks again.
