Multiple Inherited Accounts (non-spouse beneficiary)
Happy Holidays
I have what I think is a simple question
FACTS
Account owner dies leaving a T-IRA and 401(k) to the same non-spouse beneficiary
Question:
Can the 401(k)account be rolled directly into the inherited IRA? I would think yes as the RMDs (for both accounts) are using the same calculation
I am looking for clarification
Thank you

As long as the RMD divisors are the same, the inherited 401k can be transferred into the same inherited IRA. Or the inherited 401k could be transferred to an inherited Roth IRA as a taxable Roth rollover. The inherited IRA cannot be converted to an inherited Roth.
