Yes, you can contribute to both. But there are income limitations to be able to deduct a traditional IRA contribution and higher income limitations to contribute to a Roth. You must first determine your modified AGI for your filing status and then check the income limits in Pub 590 attached, pages 15 and 63: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p590.pdf
